Workplace Programme Coordinator
S M Shoeb has been a distinguished figure in the RMG sector since 2004 when he first
began his journey while pursuing a master’s in management. With an extensive career
spanning nearly two decades, Shoeb has collaborated with various RMG factories,
buying agents, and renowned retail brands. His expertise lies in diverse areas, including
auditing—with a focus on social, environmental, and health & safety concerns—
sustainability, circularity, traceability, project implementation, and factory sourcing
and development.
Further enhancing his professional stature, Shoeb has accomplished a Post Graduate
Diploma in Social Compliance and has received certifications for SA8000’s basic and
advanced levels. He is also a certified ISO14000 lead auditor and has completed a
Master Trainer Course from GIZ.
In 2016, S M Shoeb joined ETI BD as a Program Coordinator, embarking on a mission to
oversee the organisation’s workplace initiatives. This encompassed spearheading
social dialogue and gender-sensitive workplace programs. For seven years, from 2016
to 2023, he was entrusted with the role of program coordinator, representing and
driving the Social Dialogue and gender workplace programs for over 100 factories.
