
Senior Programme Officer (Gender)
Sunjida Khatoon works as a Senior Programme Officer, specializing in gender-related issues, at Ethical Trading Initiatives Bangladesh. Sunjida’s involvement spans a wide range of activities such as spearheading social dialogues, implementing gender-sensitive workplace programs in collaboration with Participatory Committees (PCs) and trade union leaders, playing a key role in forming and ensuring the effectiveness of sexual harassment complaint committees at the factory level, overseeing factory participation committee elections, conducting thorough monitoring and evaluation processes, leading socially disadvantaged people programs (SDPP outreach), providing valuable insights into gender and sexuality, advocating for HIV/AIDS awareness, and enhancing the capacities of MARPs, SR/SSR, and community-based organizations (CBOs). She also takes charge of conducting skill development training sessions, devising innovative solutions to address complex social and economic challenges faced by marginalized communities, contributing to the formulation of annual operational plans, advocating for important causes, conducting lessons learned exercises, developing impactful case studies, and preparing budgets that align with the activities outlined in the log frame. Sunjida’s responsibilities extend to monitoring progress and evaluating impact, as well as strengthening the capabilities of Project Non-Governmental Organizations (PNGOs) and staff members.
