The factory, established in 2008, had an ad-hoc grievance mechanism in place which was led by Participation Committee (PC), but it lacked a dedicated mechanism to handle sexual harassment complaints. In 2021, the factory was nominated by its brand for the “Gender Sensitive Workplace Program”, funded by STITCH and implemented by ETI Bangladesh. The program aimed to ensure a gender-friendly workplace and promote human rights due diligence by engaged brands. One of the objectives was to establish innovative and improved approaches to remedy and support garment workers.
