Sexual Harassment Complaint Committee (SHCC) members of 34 RMG factories met in Dhaka to share experience and determine way forward on 4 March 2024. The workshop titled ‘Implementation of Sexual Harassment Complaint Committee (SHCC): Our Experiences and Way Forward.’ was organized by ETI Bangladesh on the eve of the International Women’s Day 2024.
91 Participants (27 male, 64 female) attended the event from ETI intervention factories where ETI provided support in forming and functioning the SHCCs under its Gender Sensitive Workplace Programme.
During the event, the participants got into conversations on the work of SHCC, going over its accomplishments and the enabling factors. Success stories were exchanged, highlighting the factors that made such achievements possible. Furthermore, the participants shared challenges faced in way of the work of SHCCs and the ways to overcome those. At the last leg of the workshop, participants shared their vision about the SHCCs and determined to-dos for the future.
