Green Social Dialogue Working Group meeting held on 11 March 2024 at the ETI Bangladesh office to discuss the progress of the pilot intervention in five factories. Members of this working group, representing brands, factories, NGOs, bilateral agency and Trade Union federation, participated in the meeting.
The members were briefed about GSD programme progress, and they discussed the way forward for the programme. Discussions covered topics such as the progress of ongoing initiatives, sharing ground-level challenges, and best practices.
Drawing on their collective expertise, the working group members made a few actionable recommendations for the programme focusing on worker engagement, social dialogue, industry-wide policy and advocacy, as well as replication and scalability of programme.
Moving forward, the Green Social Dialogue Working Group will continue to be updated with the progress of Green Social Dialogue initiatives, offering insightful suggestions and recommendations for continuous improvement in sustainability practices within the industry.
