Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Bangladesh and Fair Wear Foundation organized a webinar on promoting suppliers’ voices in purchasing practices and celebrating UN 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence. A total of 261 participants from 135 factories attended the event on 10 October 2023.
The first part of the webinar discussed the “The Industry We Want (TIWW) Better Buying Partnership Index (BBPI) survey” which is now open for the suppliers to participate. An overview of this year’s survey along with previous year’s survey result was presented there. Then the questions and queries of the participants were answered. The current survey will remain open until 3 November 2023.
The second part of the event was dedicated to celebration of UN 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence which is starting on 25 November 2023 and continuing until 10 December 2023. ETI Bangladesh and Fair Wear Foundation presented their experiences of celebration of the campaign in the past years and shared plans for this year. Factory representatives also shared their experiences and plans in the webinar.
