Mahboob Sobhan

Senior Manager-Finance and Administration 

Mahboob has over 23 years’ experience working in civil society, private sector development, and trade unions in South Asia and the Middle East. Prior to ETI, he led on governance and compliance for a range of national and international NGOs, including Oxfam, South Asia Partnership Bangladesh, Plan International, and Save the Children.

At ETI Mahboob is responsible for financial management, governance and performance, compliance, procurement, human resource, and safeguarding. His wealth of experience overseeing compliance and financial management for donors such as USAID, EU, Dutch Ministry, GIZ, DANIDA, NORAD, FCDO, ensures ETI delivers value for money, quality programming, with compliance, financial monitoring, and reporting at its heart.

When Mahboob isn’t working, he volunteers his time on several Bangladesh humanitarian response NGO boards and is deeply passionate about safeguarding the rights of Bangladeshi people.
