Nafiz has over 11 years of experience in the development sector, specialising in project cycle management, capacity building, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement. He currently leads the Tannery Estate Project and coordinates related initiatives under the Climate Change and Just Transition pillar at ETI Bangladesh. His role focuses on improving social and environmental conditions in the tannery sector. He also promotes a workplace-based Green Social Dialogue programme within Bangladesh’s RMG sector. This involves supporting worker-led climate actions, enhancing environmental sustainability, and encouraging climate-friendly energy practices. His responsibilities also include designing and implementing advocacy initiatives, along with managing communication and stakeholder engagement. Nafiz’s experience spans several thematic areas, including migrant workers’ rights (MSIF, UK Government), labor rights in the RMG sector (FCDO), gender-sensitive RMG workplaces (NORAD), Covid-19 response for RMG workers, public health programmes (DFAT), maternal and child health (L’OCCITANE), and eye health services for FDMN-Rohingya communities.
