Priyong Sabastini
As an Anthropology graduate from BRAC University, Priyong brings in a nuanced perspective to her role as Programme Officer. This stems from Priyong’s prior experience in supply-chain research beginning with Kennesaw State University under BRAC University, which investigated the working conditions of the garment industry, pre- and post-Covid. Following her graduation, Priyong worked as a Research Assistant at BRACU for ETI’s perception survey on climate change and Just Transition. Her role included extensive on/off-site research, collaboration and communication with major stakeholders and data analysis.
Priyong is also experienced in investigating the Rohingya refugee crisis and its repercussions on host communities in Teknaf. Her field study encompassed interactions with diverse community members, exploring the multifaceted impacts on livelihoods, forestry, climate, agriculture, and health.
At ETI, Priyong utilises her background in development-themed research and skillset as an Anthropologist to curate necessary learnings, assist in proposal development and aid stakeholder relations.
