25 years since our foundation ETI continues to thrive and grow our reach and impact. Since 1998, our mission has been to advocate for the most vulnerable workers. While great strides have been made since our inception, workers today face many of the same issues and challenges of the late 90s, with the added complexities of scale and evolving crises, from conflicts to climate change.
Recently, I had the opportunity to visit two RMG factories in Savar for a needs assessment data collection as part of the Green Social Dialogue programme. The goal of this pilot is to sensitize RMG workers and civil society representatives on the impact of climate change on the RMG industry. To do this, we are assessing the existing level of knowledge, attitude and practice of the RMG factory workforce through the needs assessment.
