Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Bangladesh organised a Training of Trainers (TOT) programme on 17 February 2026 in Mawna, Shreepur, Gazipur to support factory-level resource persons in conducting internal training sessions.
13 participants attended the one-day programme. It formed part of ETI Bangladesh’s efforts to strengthen internal training systems in ready-made garment factories.
The training covered determination of training content, selection of training methods and materials, and lesson plan development. It also addressed facilitation skills, presentation skills, participatory learning approaches, training needs assessment (TNA), and training plan development.
The programme aimed to support factory resource persons who conduct internal training sessions. It formed part of an effort to support internal training systems within the ready-made garment sector.
The programme included theory sessions and practical sessions. During the practical segment, participants prepared lesson plans on grievance mechanisms, occupational health and safety, and workplace rules and regulations. They conducted demonstration sessions based on their lesson plans. Facilitation methods, training approaches, and participant engagement were observed during the exercise.
Participants discussed participatory and lecture-based training methods. They reviewed existing lesson plans, training modules, and training plans. Management reviewed issues raised during the discussion and indicated plans to update procedures related to attendance punch records.
