Factory-level resource persons participated in a Training of Trainers (TOT) programme organised by Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Bangladesh on 18 February 2026 in Savar. The one-day session brought together 10 participants from a ready-made garment (RMG) factory.
ETI Bangladesh organised the programme to support the development of facilitation and training skills among factory resource persons responsible for conducting internal training sessions. The initiative forms part of ongoing engagement with the ready-made garment sector in Bangladesh.
The session covered determining training content, selecting training methods and materials, developing lesson plans, facilitation and presentation skills, participatory learning approaches, training needs assessment and training plan development. The programme was delivered in two phases. The first phase focused on theoretical concepts. The second phase focused on practical exercises.
During the practical phase, participants worked in four groups to prepare lesson plans on Grievance Mechanism, Occupational Health and Safety, and factory Rules and Regulations. Each group delivered a demonstration session based on its plan. Facilitators observed the structure of the sessions, training methods used and participant engagement during the presentations.
The session included discussion on attendance punch records and existing procedures. Management indicated that it would review the issue discussed and consider updates to relevant procedures.
The programme was designed to support factory-level resource persons in planning and conducting internal training sessions. ETI Bangladesh continues to engage with stakeholders in the ready-made garment sector on workplace training and capacity development.
