ETI Bangladesh held a four-days Decent Workplace and Social Dialogue Training on 8 December 2025 to 11 December 2025 at Dhaka. 17 participants of Participation Committee (PC) member from two Readymade Garments (RMG) factories participated in the workshop.
The training aimed to strengthen industrial relations. It focused on building capacity and raising awareness of rights and responsibilities of workers. The programme promoted social dialogue in the workplace. Participation Committee members strengthened their ability to lead workplace dialogue and support conflict resolution.
The sessions covered key concepts on decent work and social dialogue. These included the definition, purpose, and benefits of social dialogue, the roles and responsibilities of Participation Committee members, problem resolution through the PIP method, grievance mechanisms, misconduct and disciplinary procedures, systems to address violence and harassment at the workplace, gender equity, wages and benefits, occupational health and safety, and women workers’ rights under the Bangladesh Labour Law.
At the end of the training, participants gained clarity on their rights, benefits, roles, and responsibilities. The programme supported their participation in social dialogue. The training contributed to the promotion of decent workplaces.
