On 26 October 2025, Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Bangladesh hosted a consultation workshop titled “Crafting a Participatory Self-Assessment Process: For a Decarbonisation and Renewable Energy Transition Roadmap.”
The session brought together 45 representatives from 26 Ready Made Garments (RMG) factories, including representatives from both sustainability and compliance teams.
The workshop aimed to co-develop a participatory factory self-assessment process that incorporates practical and collective insights from factory colleagues. Participants reviewed and provided feedback on ETI’s proposed participatory factory rapid assessment, helping refine and accelerate this co-creational self-assessment process.
This event is part of ETI’s ongoing sectoral project titled "Promoting Just Transition & Environmental Sustainability in the Bangladesh RMG Industry”. A core focus of the current phase of the project is to work exclusively with onboarded brands & their factories to promote a shared sense of responsibility and collaborative action towards a renewable energy transition in Bangladesh RMG.
