Green Social Dialogue Working Group Formed Through Pilot Project Validation Workshop

A working group comprising of different stakeholders has been formed aiming at incorporating stakeholders’ insights into the green social dialogue pilot programme. This collaboration among stakeholders is expected to contribute to strengthening the impact of the Green Social Dialogue programme and promote consolidated learning in the industry.

The working group was formed in the “validation workshop of the Green Social Dialogue (GSD) pilot programme and training outline” on May 17, 2023. A total of 20 participants, including 5 females and 15 males, participated in the workshop organized by ETI Bangladesh. The workshop brought together representatives from brands, factories, NGOs and workers’ associations to discuss ETI’s green social dialogue pilot programme implementation plan and training outline and make valuable inputs.

After welcome and introduction, the findings of the needs assessment of the programme were shared. This gave important insights into knowledge, attitude and practice of the factories under the study on climate change. The programme plan and training outline was then presented, highlighting overview, objectives, contents and methodology. Participants discussed the training outline and modules, offering feedback and suggestions.

The diverse perspectives and insights of the participants are expected to contribute greatly to the successful implementation of the Green Social Dialogue programme.
